CONSULTATION ON A PROPOSAL TO REDUCE THE PUBLISHED ADMISSION NUMBERS (PAN) AT Selling CEP SCHOOL FROM 30 TO 15 FROM SEPTEMBER 2024

Selling CEP School is consulting and seeking comments on a proposal to reduce the Published Admission Number (PAN)  from 30 to 15 from September 2024 and for all subsequent cohorts.

Arrangements will remain the same in other year groups as they pass through the school.  The proposed Admissions Arrangements 2024 can be found below.

BACKGROUND

Selling CEP School is a 1 form-entry school and in recent years has not been able to fill 30 places in Reception and numbers have decreased.

Please see Appendix 1 below for further details from the Headteacher on the rationale for making the above stated changes.

THE CONSULTATION PROCESS

This consultation will run until midday on Monday, 16^th January 2023 and we are inviting stakeholders and members of the local community to respond.  These are namely, but not limited to:

1. Parents and Carers at Selling CEP School
2. Members of Selling CEP School Staff
3. Members of the Local Monitoring Council of Selling CEP School
4. Kent County Council
5. Local Primary Schools
6. Members of the local community

Following the consultation period the school will consider any comments received and how to proceed. 

Any comments must be sent no later than midday on Monday 16^th January 2023.
