Selling's Family Liaison Officer (FLO).

Hello, my name is Miss Clark and I am the school's Family Liaison Officer (FLO). I am part of the Well-being Team and liaise closely with all the FLOs across the other OCMAT schools. Together with Mrs Metcalfe (SENCo), combining our expertise and resources, we are here to enable the children’s well-being, happiness and progress.

Within school, I work closely with Mr Paez and all the school staff. I work impartially and confidentially to provide a link between you and the school, always in the best interests of you and your family.

So what can I help you with?

School issues or personal concerns (however big or small) I’m here to help. I can offer practical help or advice, signpost to external agencies if appropriate, or just be here to listen if you want someone to talk to. I also run coffee mornings and informal get-togethers (so you can meet other parents/carers) and I sometimes run parent workshops on all manner of subjects.

I also support your children during the school day, to ensure that they are happy and feel safe and secure in school. For those who need a bit of extra help, I run individual or group sessions to enable them find solutions to any problems. This may include self-esteem, behaviour, friendships, playground worries, anger management, and any number of other issues.

I am available at break and lunchtimes for children who need to take timeout from the school day and come and play or draw, or just have a chat. All of this promotes a sense of positive well-being and will hopefully enable them to settle in the classroom and learn effectively.

I am in school Monday to Friday from 8:30 am until 4:15 pm and am available on the playground every morning so please feel free to come and talk to me then.
