Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back to the new school year and to Class 5! We are really impressed with the way the children have settled in to their new routines and the enthusiasm they are showing for their learning. This term, we are exploring the question, 'Why are rivers important?'. The topic web below shows how we are exploring the question at school as well as the focus of all areas of learning. The home learning menu is below. Your child is welcome to choose at least two of the suggested activities which will further support their learning at home. In addition, we also encourage all children to read as much as possible, preferably 30 minutes every day. As soon as the children have completed a book they should complete their Accelerated Reader quiz which they can do in class.
We will have PE on a Monday and Forest School on a Thursday during Term 1.
If you have any questions or concerns, do please speak to us at the end of the day or contact the school office.
With best wishes,
Mrs Atkins and Mrs Ormerod
